The periodical

Weekly editions

One permanent page for every week of the record. Each edition counts the municipal filings dated within its seven days and measures the week against its own trailing baseline. Once a week closes its edition does not change.

Why weekly

Our analysisThe cadence was measured against the source rather than chosen.

Across the 2026-01-02 to 2026-08-28 window this page covers, filings land on 198 separate days at a median of 19 a day — so a daily edition would have content. It would also be thin: 27 of those days carried fewer than five filings, and only 2.1% of filings fall on a weekend, so two editions in seven would be nearly blank. A periodical that is empty two days a week teaches its readers to stop opening it. Weekly volumes across the 34 closed weeks below run 58 to 158 with a median of 108; no week is thin.

There is a firmer reason. Every ingest run in this corpus is timestamped within seven minutes of the others on a single day, so this platform knows when filings are dated and has no measurement of how often a municipality publishes. A weekly edition is correct whether the City publishes continuously or in weekly batches. That will be revisited once runs exist across many days and the lag can be measured directly.

The live view is the pulse, which is anchored to the latest data activity rather than to the calendar. Editions are the permanent record; the pulse is the current one.
