Land use districts
What Calgary’s land use districts look like in the record
79 districts appear often enough in the municipal record to describe. Each page shows the filings that carry the district, the redesignations into and out of it, and how often Council approved them — not what the bylaw permits.
This is not the Land Use Bylaw
This platform has not ingested Bylaw 1P2007 and does not reproduce it. Nothing here states what a district permits — that is a legal question, and the answer is the City’s to give.
What these pages state is what the record shows: which filings carry a district, what was proposed under it, which districts were redesignated into and out of it, and how many of those were approved. For the bylaw itself, go to the City of Calgary ↗.

District activity measured across records acquired from 1979 to 2026. This is not a statement about all development in Calgary — only about what these sources publish and what this platform retained. Filing counts cover the browsable slice; redesignation counts cover the whole acquired corpus. The two columns therefore measure different populations and are labelled separately.
